If They're Weird... We'll Sign 'em!

We're always on the lookout for new bands and artists, but unlike most other indie record labels we don't expect new acts to be experienced in the finer points of marketing. All we ask for is a little commitment from the band members or artists, a good attitude towards team work, an appreciation of 'what it takes' to achieve some level of success, and of course, a reasonable degree of talent.
Our A&R department has a team of talent scouts who are constantly searching for new acts with an 'angle'. We don't mind if you're influenced by rock, pop, soul, reggae, ska, techno, britpop... just as long as you're not boring, middle of the road or mainstream, and have your own original material.

We listen to everything sent in to us!

Every record, tape and CD that comes to the A&R department here at Flat Records is listened to carefully and given a full apraisal (if you send any audio files by e-mail they will be ignored). If you have something we like you could be asked to work with one of our producers or you might even be accepted onto one of our Development Programmes (© 1995 & © 1997 Flat Records Ltd). If you're really exceptional we might even offer you a recording deal!
