Huddersfield Organists' Association was founded in 1903, and is the second oldest such organisation in the United Kingdom. It exists primarily to promote the art of church and organ music and to provide encouragement and support to people interested in the field.

HOA runs an annual programme of events between April and March each year. Events are not held in December, but otherwise take place monthly.

With a membership of around 75, HOA is an active body in Huddersfield's musical scene, and has close links with The University of Huddersfield. Former President William Kay was a student at the university during his presidency, and other students including Anthony Baldery, Michael Smith and Shaun Ward have served on the committee.

We are currently working with computer experts in the town in the hope of broadcasting a recital from Huddersfield Town Hall over the internet in the near future.
